San Ramon, CA, April 08, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Sunset Development Company, planner and developer of the Bishop Ranch business community, has partnered with non-profit Save Mount Diablo as a California Condor Sponsor for 2015. Sunset Development presented the conservation organization with a $20,000 gift, to help further its mission to protect the natural lands on and around Mount Diablo.
Save Mount Diablo has spent the last 44 years working to improve and protect Mount Diablo’s natural beauty, biological diversity, and historic and agricultural heritage. As a result of the organization’s efforts, preserved lands have increased exponentially, from an initial 7,000 acres to more than 110,000 acres today.
Sunset Development’s financial commitment contributes toward Save Mount Diablo’s work in preserving the lands surrounding Mount Diablo, protecting its wildlife and scenic integrity, and providing recreational access and educational opportunities to the community.
“The significant open space preserved around Mount Diablo enhances aesthetic beauty, secures our great outdoors lifestyle and provides our communities with a sense of their urban limits. Most importantly, it ensures that these large green buffers around them will exist forever,” said Alexander Mehran, Jr., President and COO of Sunset Development Company.
The partnership with Save Mount Diablo aligns with Sunset Development’s commitment to sustainability and with the company’s efforts to preserve human, financial and natural resources for future generations. Sunset Development’s commitment to green initiatives and organizations recognizes how crucial environmental responsibility is to the health and vitality of the community.
