Top Executives from Nasdaq and Blenheim Capital Management to Headline 2015 World Financial Information Conference

Event will Convene More than 400 Financial Information Industry Leaders from 35 Countries; October 4-7 in New Orleans

Washington, DC, April 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The global neutral forum for the financial information industry, the Financial Information Services Association (FISD) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), today announced the keynote speakers for the 12th biennial World Financial Information Conference (WFIC). WFIC will be held October 4-7, 2015 in New Orleans at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.

The World Financial Information Conference is the only global event that focuses exclusively on issues associated with dissemination, management and use of financial information. The conference will bring together more than 400 financial information industry leaders from over 35 countries for two and a half days of dialogue and debate about the most important issues and trends in the rapidly evolving financial information industry.

Two keynote speakers announced are:

• Adena T. Friedman, President, Nasdaq

Adena Friedman currently serves as President of Nasdaq. In this role, Ms. Friedman is responsible for overseeing the strategy and operations as well as having financial responsibility for the company’s Listing Services, Information Services (comprising Indexes and Data Products) and Technology Solutions (comprising Market Technology and Corporate Solutions) business segments. Ms. Friedman earned an M.B.A. from Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee. She holds a B.A. in political science from Williams College in Massachusetts.

• Mickey Levy, Ph.D., Chief Economist, Blenheim Capital Management

Dr. Mickey D. Levy is chief economist for Blenheim Capital Management. Dr. Levy analyzes and forecasts US and international economic trends and macroeconomic policies and their impacts on financial market behavior. He is also co-chairman of the Shadow Open Market Committee, a group of academics that analyzes the monetary policies of the US Federal Reserve and other global central banks. Mickey is an advisor to several US Federal Reserve Banks, the European Commission and the Bank of Japan. Mickey testifies before US Congressional committees on topics concerning monetary and fiscal policies, global imbalances, and economic and financial conditions.
