)-- SPARKLE 2015 was a fundraiser for “Don’t Let Smoke Hide Your Sparkle,” a new initiative created by BREATHE California of Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA) celebrating all of the many wonderful things our daughters can do best with clean air and healthy lungs – like front a rock band. BREATHE LA & The Rock School Scholarship Fund (RSSF) presented a special afternoon of music, fashion and celebrities, which benefited both organizations. The event was held at the luxury hotel Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
BREATHE LA along with Anthem Blue Cross welcomed RSSF Honorary Board Member Orianthi—recently ranked as #2 in Ultimate Guitar’s “Top 15 Greatest Female Guitarists”—who made a special guest performance with an all-female band featuring students and alumnae from several School of Rock locations. Guest performers also included Tish Ciravolo, Founder/President of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, and Daisy Rock Artist Oliva Rox. Celebrity guests who made appearances at SPARKLE 2015 included the LA Laker Girls. The afternoon was emceed by radio personality Gina Grad, co-host of 100.3 The Sound-FM’s “Mark in the Morning Show.”
SPARKLE 2015 also presented a runway fashion show featuring Heidi Klum Loungewear and Jane Booke Designs, a light luncheon courtesy ETC Gourmet, and a make your own perfume bar. Guests were invited by the LA Laker Girls to “Sign the Pledge” to Sparkle instead of Smoke at the Pledge Wall located on the patio.
