C24 Secures New Managed Service Hosting Deployments Within Three Different Industries
Birmingham, United Kingdom, May 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Applications hosting provider, C24, has won three major new hosting clients in April 2015 and will be delivering services to three new industry sectors.
Midlands based hosting provider, C24, has capitalised on its successful start to 2015 with three new client wins in April 2015 alone.
The three new projects will see C24 delivering services across a range of sectors, from pharmaceutical through to agricultural and manufacturing.
Two of the solutions will be delivered in conjunction with C24’s Microsoft Dynamics AX partner, Columbus, to deliver hosted MS Dynamics AX ERP platforms from C24’s enterprise datacentres in the Midlands, UK.
Pharmaceutical Sector
Prior to C24’s engagement with the client, IT was delivered from an on-premise datacentre with support delivered by an incumbent IT service provider. In order to increase business resiliency, and service continuity, the client took the decision to move their entire IT infrastructure to the cloud.
Previously, IT had been a complex mix of legacy and new infrastructure that created management headaches for IT teams struggling to integrate the disparate systems. Additionally the client felt that the relationship with the incumbent supplier was not going to support the growth of the business moving forward.
C24’s solution will see all data transferred into C24’s datacentre onto enterprise HP storage technology, with a dedicated network link to the client site – all delivered through Citrix for easier management. The entire solution will deliver hosting across all applications used within the business, from Microsoft Office to pharmaceutical-specific apps and across multiple locations.
Agricultural Sector
C24 has further strengthened its footprint within the agricultural sector by winning a project to deliver a hosted ERP platform to an agricultural client, in conjunction with Columbus (Microsoft Dynamics Partner). The client had a legacy ERP system, delivered in-house. The new solution involves hosting both the primary and DR ERP solution at C24’s datacentres for increased uptime and resiliency. Phase two of the project will then involve transferring further applications from being delivered in house to C24’s hosting centres for greater convenience.
Due to the seasonality of the agricultural sector, the client had strict deadlines for the project to start and C24 was able to provision the ERP IT infrastructure in under a week so that the Dynamics partner could begin test and development work on the new systems without delay.
Manufacturing Sector
C24’s experience in the manufacturing sector is already strong, with a number of ERP solutions delivered to multinational manufacturing clients within the last three years. The most recent win involves a client who was looking to refresh their ERP system and host it onsite at their own datacentre, however following talks with their Microsoft Dynamics partner and C24, the decision was made to instead host the ERP system within C24’s datacentres, with DR services added on for additional resiliency.
This solution will deliver the ERP application to users via Citrix in the UK and is currently being tested and developed in conjunction with their Microsoft Dynamics partner. C24s’ private cloud infrastructure will be used as the connectivity layer so as to maximise performance and management.
