Support Local New Jersey-Based Non-Profit Empoweractive in Their Campaign to Help a Country in Need

501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Empoweractive, to hold inaugural conference and tradeshow to benefit MedShare’s Container Program.

Asbury Park, NJ, May 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Since its establishment in 2012, local non-profit organization Empoweractive has been committed to social responsibility and leadership with a mission to spark real change. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit headquartered in Asbury Park, New Jersey and born out of the visionary thinking of parent company, Eneractive Solutions – a global leader in energy engineering and consulting, specializing in the design, development, and implementation of energy conservation projects – Empoweractive has built their foundation on philanthropic initiatives that serve the needs of others locally and globally. Empoweractive has a successful track record in executing humanitarian projects throughout the country, having most recently raised funds over US$170,000 for the Special Olympics, YCS – Youth Consultation Services, and the Painted Turtle.

This summer, Empoweractive will be hosting their biggest philanthropic undertaking yet: EMPOWERACTIVE 2015 – Transforming Healthcare into the Future – Conference and Tradeshow. This unprecedented three-day event to be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey will unite the energy and healthcare communities to educate and revitalize the healthcare environment, culture, efficiency, & performance.

Bringing together the most distinguished and motivated U.S energy products and services companies to restore excellence back to healthcare, funds raised from this event will directly benefit and support healthcare initiatives in economically developing countries via MedShare’s Container Program. Through this collaboration of MedShare and a special partnership with the First Lady of the Republic of Guinea, Djene Kaba Condé, Empoweractive will sponsor and send a forty-foot shipping container of medical supplies and equipment valued at US$200,000 to a hospital in need in the Republic of Guinea in West Africa – one of the areas in West Africa most affected by the Ebola epidemic.

Founded in 1998, MedShare is a national non-profit organization that recovers surplus medical supplies and equipment from U.S. hospitals and manufacturers, and redistributes them to needy hospitals in developing countries. Over the past 15 years, MedShare has shipped over 1,000 containers valued at over US$100 million to 96 countries. While Empoweractive’s intention is to send one forty-foot shipping container, any excess funds will be used towards the sponsorship of additional container(s).

“Charitable work is important to us; it is the core tenant of what we do and what moves us. In creating this event, we wanted to embody this, providing the platform needed to stimulate real change through visionary, valuable, and actionable discourse,” says Dan Weeden, President and CEO of Eneractive Solutions. He continues, “We will bring together experts in the energy and healthcare space to talk about the transformation of both industries, how we work together, and where the services of the next era for both industries will influence each other.”

Through this effort, Empoweractive seeks to transform both the energy and healthcare industries, while fulfilling their vision of creating a better tomorrow.
