New Cycling Tour from Grasshopper Adventures: Bike Historic Ayutthaya

Visit the old capital of Thailand on 2 wheels with Grasshopper Adventures’ new "Bike Historic Ayutthaya" tour.

Siem Reap, Cambodia, May 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Escape Bangkok for a fun and educational ride to the ancient capital of Siam. The tour starts with a pick up from your hotel and private bus ride to Bang Pa-in to get past the traffic of Bangkok. After disembarking the cycling begins, first passing the royal palace. Next is a ride on a local ferry across the Chao Phraya River from where a cycle route through the fascinating back lanes of the riverside communities leads to the island of Ayutthaya.

Following an included local lunch, the tour heads to the historic sites of this ancient city, capital of Thailand for over 400 years, to see the many ruins, temples and Buddha images, including Wat Phutthai Sawan, Wat Chai Watanaram, Wat Loke, Wat Phrasrisanphet, and Wat Mahathat.

At the end of a fun day of riding and sightseeing rest those tired muscles with a private bus transfer back to Bangkok.

The tour is 11 hours in total, covers a cycling distance of 39km and is suitable for anyone who is comfortable on a bike. A support vehicle is on hand for those who want a rest from riding.
