PerDiemCo Announces Patent Infringement Lawsuits

Marshall, TX, May 21, 2015 --(PR.com)-- PerDiemCo LLC, today announced it has filed patent infringement lawsuits seeking unspecified damages against Geotab Inc. and Geotab USA, Inc., Industrack LLC, Teletrac, Inc. and Navman Wireless North America Ltd, Telogis, Inc. and Omnivations II, LLC d/b/a Fleetronix.

The suits were filed in the District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, by PerDiemCo's legal counsel at Mann Tindel Thompson and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP.

The suits assert that the defendants have infringed and continue to infringe the following PerDiemCo patents:

(i) US 8,223,012 – System and Method for Conveying Object Location Information,
(ii) US 8,493,207 – Location Information Sharing System and Method for Conveying Location Information based on User Authorization,
(iii) US 8,717,166 – System and Method for Conveying Location Information via a Plurality of Information-Sharing Environments, and
(iv) US 9,003,499 – System and Method for Conveying Location Information Based on Varying Levels of Administrative Privilege Under Multiple Levels of Access Controls.

These patents involve inventions that were conceived by PerDiemCo's Chief Technology Officer, Darrell Diem, when his daughter's car broke down on a long road trip. Mr. Diem wanted to convey location information for his daughter in an efficient way that would still protect her privacy. Mr. Diem's inventions, which have a wide range of significant applications, are widely used today.
