Triangle Kroger Stores to Celebrate the Tastes of Summer with "Red, White & Barbecue" Event

Local Grocer Announces Two-Week Event Where Customers Will Find Fresh Ideas and Savings for Their Next Backyard Barbecue.

Raleigh, NC, May 29, 2015 --( The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), the nation’s largest traditional grocery retailer has announced its first-ever “Red, White & Barbecue” celebration May 27 – June 9 in all of its 14 stores throughout the Triangle.

During the two-week event, customers will be inspired to create their best-ever backyard barbecues by experiencing cookout flavors from regions across the United States, including North Carolina-style Piedmont slaw. Customers will also find great savings on meat, produce and grilling tools.

On Saturday, May 30, Kroger stores in the Triangle will even host BBQ grilling events where customers can stop in for hot racks of baby back ribs. Customers can also sample other delicious foods from across the U.S., which may include:

· Ball Park Park’s Finest Hot Dogs topped with Curly’s Pulled Pork
· Wright Brand Bacon Steakhouse Scallops
· Cucumber & Melon Sangria (nonalcoholic)
· Fresh Cut Pineapple
· Angus Roast Beef and Burger Blue Cheese
