DAE Confirms Gold Sponsorship for Canadian Resort Conference

Orlando, FL, June 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Worldwide vacation exchange provider DAE has confirmed its Gold-level Sponsorship of the 2015 Canadian Resort Conference (CRC) taking place, Sept. 9 – 10, at the Pan Pacific Vancouver hotel in British Columbia, Canada. The event is produced by Perspective Group on behalf of Canada’s official timeshare industry trade body, the Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA).

"It's really important that Canada has its own 'industry' event in the form of the CRC to bring focus and greater awareness to the vacation ownership resort and leisure industries in this country,” says Francis Taylor, CEO of DAE. “We see DAE as having some responsibility to get behind and support CRDA in their efforts to promote the concepts behind vacation ownership to a wider audience and, in particular, to those hospitality entrepreneurs and brands who are considering coming into our industry.

“CRDA works with legislators to help protect consumers, resorts and developers along with providing a central point of contact for general information about various topics that involve this industry,” Taylor continues. “DAE can't do all that on its own, but we can get behind the country's industry body to offer moral and financial support."

With an increased commitment following last year’s successful conference, DAE will sponsor the Speed Networking event on the opening day of the 2015 conference. This popular networking session provides an opportunity for delegates to get one-on-one time with up to 30 other attendees in a rapid succession of two-minute meetings. Business cards are swapped, and formal meetings with key decision-makers are scheduled to take place throughout the conference.

“Speed networking plays a crucial role in the success of this conference,” says Paul Mattimoe, president and CEO of Perspective Group. “Industry professionals attend to find new business opportunities, and this event facilitates that perfectly. We appreciate DAE’s support of this key element of CRC 2015.”

The Speed Networking session is followed immediately by the Welcome Cocktail Party, which enables participants to continue the conversation over drinks and appetizers.

Last year at CRC, DAE received the Cornerstone Award, CRDA’s highest honor. The company was cited for “dynamically impacting the vacation ownership industry during an era of rapid change and delivering solutions that are integral to the evolution of the industry.”

CRDA is a trade association dedicated to furthering the interests of the resort industry throughout Canada and the rest of the world, and its annual conference draws senior-level decision-makers from Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and beyond. With interactive sessions and extended networking, CRC provides numerous opportunities for attendees to meet with international and domestic professionals, make new business contacts and form strategic partnerships.

This year’s conference will focus on the future growth of the Canadian resort marketplace as well as on global vacation ownership industry challenges, trends and new product variants, incorporating the wider resort and travel industry.
