NAWBO Adds "sparXX" to ASU Event Honoring Women Leaders

Seven members of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Phoenix Chapter, were honored for contributions to women's entrepreneurship programs and being successful businesswomen themselves.

Phoenix, AZ, June 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Phoenix Chapter, participated in the recent Arizona State University (ASU) Entrepreneurship and Innovation SparXX Fly event. The annual event recognizes women leaders in Phoenix’s entrepreneurship ecosystem who have contributed to the success of women’s entrepreneurship programs as well as being successful entrepreneurs themselves.

“We were happy to have the opportunity to recognize the women who work behind the scenes and lead amazing businesses at the same time,” says Dorothy Wolden, president of NAWBO Phoenix.

The name SparXX, in addition to being a tribute to ASU’s mascot Sparky, is a tribute to the XX chromosome and captures the sentiment of women’s entrepreneurship programs across the Phoenix Metro area—to spark women’s entrepreneurial passions and talents, and accelerate their success as business owners.

NAWBO members honored and their awards were:

Nancy Hetrick of Smarter Divorce Solutions, LLC, Award of Completion from ASU’s Think Global Institute;
