Beyond Goody Bag Launches New Initiative in the Traditional Gift Market

Beyond Goody Bag encourages users to send Beyond Goody Bag e-gifts as gifts for special occasions.

Atlanta, GA, June 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Beyond Goody Bag, an Atlanta startup that raises funds and awareness for charities, was formed to give party hosts the chance to turn traditional party favors and goody bags into gifts, either for the recipient or as a charitable donation to a variety of non-profit partner organizations. The way it works is simple. Party hosts log onto http://www.beyondgoodybag.com and determine the amount of each party favor they wish to supply. Beyond Goody Bag then provides digital party favors in that amount for each individual partygoer. How the recipient chooses to redeem the e-gift is entirely up to him or her. Either the full amount or a portion of it can be designated toward one of the partner nonprofits, or it can be kept by the guest in the form of a gift card from major retailers.

“When we launched the site, we knew that our message resonated with party organizers who were tired of wasting money on traditional goody bags and party favors. We also knew that folks wanted to use BGB e-gifts in place of traditional gifts,” says Robert Bock, an Atlanta-based high-tech entrepreneur and co-founder of BGB. “However, we have been surprised how much traction we are experiencing in the traditional gift market. As more and more users give BGB e-gifts we expect continued growth in this sector. Therefore, we are launching new outreach initiatives to encourage the use of BGB e-gifts as gifts for special occasions - in addition to being used as party favors and goody bags.”

Beyond Goody Bag e-gifts are ideal for birthday parties and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, but also can be used for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, and other private and corporate events. With 26 corporate and non-profit partners, Beyond Good Bag hopes to change the way parents (and kids) view party favors – as an opportunity to receive and to give. Teaching kids that even the smallest donation can make a big difference in the lives of others puts them on a path toward becoming generous and philanthropic adults.

“It’s a win-win for the charity, party guest and parents everywhere,” continues Bock. “We are always struggling to teach our kids about the importance of helping others. This is an easy way to encourage children attending a party or hosting a party to do something for others while still allowing them to treat themselves too.”
