Can Father's Day be a Happy One When Loving an Addicted Child?

Denise Krochta interviews Dad's who try to navigate through their own child's addiction and have some sanity and peace in their lives while doing it. Father's Day can be a very sad day, instead of a happy one, when loving an addict.

San Diego, CA, June 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Holidays should be fun and enjoyable for our families. Father's Day is no exception. But, how do we celebrate being a father when our child is suffering from an addiction? Do we have a right to celebrate? Can we be happy with the rest of our family and friends and still feel comfortable loving our addicted children?

Sometimes a holiday can turn into our worst nightmare when we love an addict.

Each week on her radio show, "Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101," Denise Krochta interviews experts and experienced people to provide resources, support, information, stories, for her audience so they feel comfortable that they have the tools to make informed decisions for themselves, businesses, and loved ones.

Everyone reacts to a loved one's addiction differently. Moms and Dads seem to handle an addiction of a child in very different ways. Why do more moms seek support and share their experience when many Dads keep it secret? Do we get sad or angry? Are we always on the same page?

This week on Denise's show, "Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101" on webtalk radio she interviews two Dad's who support each other, both having children suffering from addiction. They talk about resources, support, feelings, responsibilities, and being a dad in this situation.

Denise knows the right questions to ask for the answers we all want to know. She is the mom of an addict in recovery and the author of the book "Sweat: A Practical Plan for Keeping Your Heart Intact While Loving an Addict."

Happy Father's Day.
