The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Madison Orr Hauenstein to Executive Director.

Clearwater, FL, June 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of current Development and Communications Coordinator, Madison Orr Hauenstein, to Executive Director. The Board's action comes with the fullest confidence that Mrs. Hauenstein will lead the Foundation on its mission to secure a bright financial future for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) served by The Arc Tampa Bay, previously UPARC. "The Board recognizes Madison as the right person to pursue growth and stability for those we serve," stated Charles Riggs, Foundation Board President.

Hauenstein's first exposure to The Arc Tampa Bay, then UPARC, was as a young girl watching her parents, Jackie and Jim Orr, serve on the Foundation's longest standing fundraiser, The Omelette Party. It was at the annual "Client Visit" where participants in UPARC's many programs would converge on the chosen host home that her devotion and passion for this population grew. After she secured her Marketing degree, her employment path landed firmly with the Foundation for the past four years, and most recently spearheading the rebranding from UPARC into The Arc Tampa Bay. "It is my honor to serve as the Executive Director and follow in the footsteps of our Foundation Founder, Dr. William E. Hale, who challenged each one of us to do more for the incredible individuals we serve everyday. I hope to inspire others to dream big and believe that they can make a difference in the lives of people with I/DD in Tampa Bay," stated Madison Hauenstein.

"The compassion – the courage to look disability in the face and know that you have given it your total commitment – that is the hallmark of The Arc Tampa Bay. We have the passion to care for these very special members of our society,” a quote attributed to the late Dr. Hale.

The mission of The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation is to provide financial support exclusively to The Arc Tampa Bay which empowers individuals with I/DD in our community. The Foundation plays a unique and vital role raising funds and awareness for those served by The Arc Tampa Bay. Hauenstein will head this effort.

The selection process for the Foundation's Executive Director was regional in scope. "We had many qualified and enthusiastic candidates. We were pleased to be able to promote from within, as Madison's passion was unparalleled," stated Travis Finchum, Co-Chair of the Search Committee and current Vice President of the Foundation Board.

Hauenstein received her undergraduate education from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. While studying Marketing and Communications, she met her future husband, also a Stetson graduate, Gregory Hauenstein, currently pursuing his career as Senior Account Executive with iDatix in Clearwater, Florida.
