Free Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) Educational Resource for Healthcare Professionals Launches on

Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom, June 22, 2015 --( An online educational resource for healthcare professionals (HCPs) has just launched on The Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) Knowledge Centre is intended for allergists, dermatologists and other HCPs involved in the treatment and management of CSU.

Chronic Urticaria is thought to affect up to 1% of the population at any given time and, of these cases, two thirds are thought to be spontaneous (CSU) where the exact trigger for symptoms is unknown(1). CSU symptoms often have adverse effects on patients’ quality of life resulting in low mood, sleep disruption and lifestyle restrictions(2).

The Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria Knowledge Centre has been developed to increase awareness and understanding among primary care practitioners to ensure patients receive a correct diagnosis and the appropriate treatment or referral. It will also provide ongoing awareness of the condition and its treatment options for allergists and dermatologists.
