Top Southern California Architectural Firm Completes Its Design for ASCAYA's First Showcase Home

Marmol Radziner completes design for first ASCAYA showcase home.

Las Vegas, NV, June 25, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Famed Architecture Firm Marmol Radziner Designing Showcase Home at ASCAYA

Southern California architectural firm Marmol Radziner has completed its design for ASCAYA’s first showcase home. The home is one of at least six showcase residences being designed by some of the country’s top architects. Construction on the Marmol Radziner residence is expected to begin this Fall.

“Marmol Radziner is one of the top contemporary architecture firms in the country,” said ASCAYA sales manager Darin Marques. “This residence will provide inspiration to new and prospective ASCAYA homeowners on how the beauty of the desert can be incorporated into their homes.”

The 7,373-square-foot home will include four bedrooms, four baths, and a powder room. It will be situated on an approximately 19,542-square-foot home site. All of ASCAYA’s 313 home sites are nestled in Henderson’s McCollough mountain range and most have sweeping vistas of the city below.

“We designed this two-story home to be somewhat private on the street-facing side and completely open on the back side to maximize the views of both Las Vegas and the mountains to the Northwest,” said Ron Radziner, Design Principal of Marmol Radziner. “With floor-to-ceiling sliding glass in the great room, office and media room, there is a seamless transition from the indoors to the outdoors.”

The street-facing side of the residence includes a green roof which frames a tucked-away entry, located off of a parking court. This first-floor wing includes the three-car garage, mud area, linen closet, powder room, guest room, bath and gym.

The home’s second floor features a master bedroom suite that includes a bathroom with a pair of vanities and toilet rooms, a pair of closets, and a morning coffee bar in one wing, and two secondary bedrooms in the other. All bedrooms include decks that overlook the city and mountains.

“All homes at ASCAYA will be designed to complement the beauty of their natural surroundings,” said Marques. “Marmol Radziner’s showcase home will use warm and rustic materials and color palettes that will connect it to its desert environment.” Exterior materials designed for the home include bronze anodized aluminum panels, vertical grain western red cedar, and local natural stone.

“On the ground floor, a warm gray concrete topping slab extends from the interior to the exterior,” said Radziner. “Bedrooms have oak flooring and baths have stone walls and flooring--white quartzite with radiant heating in the master bath and large-format porcelain tile in the secondary baths.”

Marmol Radziner’s ASCAYA home will include luxury appliances, accessories, and fixtures throughout. The energy-efficient residence will include a solar heated pool and an integrated HVAC and lighting system that can be customized to the future homeowners’ needs. Its landscaping will be made up of native drought-resistant plants.

“ASCAYA’s showcase homes will be a true inspiration to future homeowners,” said Marques. “This home from Marmol Radziner will no doubt be the first of many exquisitely designed homes in this unique community.”

ASCAYA is briskly moving forward in its development plans. The community’s $25 million clubhouse was recently unveiled and is projected to begin construction in late 2015. The 22,000-square-foot clubhouse will include a resort-style pool with integrated lap pool, tennis courts, meeting spaces, exercise room, movement studio, spa, children’s play area, and event lawn.

Also currently in development are ASCAYA’s first custom homes. These residences are in the community’s architectural review process and expected to begin construction in Summer 2015.
