Atlanta, GA, July 01, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Zyrobotics, a leading assistive technology company in Atlanta is pleased to announce that TabAccess is now CE and CSA certified and will be available for purchase in Europe and Canada soon.
Similar to the FCC declaration of conformity, the CE symbol means that TabAccess complies with applicable EU requirements, by adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations. This approval marks the start of the distribution process of TabAccess within the European Economic Area. The CSA mark allows TabAccess to reach Canadian users by ensuring that the product meets safety and performance standards. Both markings are required before Zyrobotics can offer TabAccess and its other products internationally.
TabAccess is a wireless Bluetooth switch interface that allows individuals with limited upper mobility to use iPads and tablets. Functionality and control of these devices normally require pinch and swipe gestures, but individuals who are unable to perform such movements may have difficulties accessing the benefits that these devices provide.
According to founder Dr. Ayanna Howard, the CE and CSA markings mean that, “We can now position TabAccess to be offered worldwide and better impact society by providing freedom through technology.” With the technological trends of using tablets in classrooms and mainstream environments, making these technologies accessible to every individual is important. TabAccess helps with this need by providing an assistive technology that enables easy use of tablets with accessible switches, sip/puff devices, grasp switches, and 4-input joysticks.
