COMTA Renews Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics' Accreditation

Nationally recognized accrediting agency, the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation has thoroughly evaluated the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics' programs and renewed its accreditations as a massage therapy training school for seven years through April 2022. Accreditation reflects the quality of schools' programs and allows students who qualify to access federal financial aid for education expenses.

Alexandria, IN, July 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics (ASSTI) announced that the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), has renewed its accreditation for a period of seven years from April 2015 through April 2022.

COMTA is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a specialized accrediting agency for its expertise in the field. The agency accredits educational institutions and programs offering massage therapy training, which allows them to access federal student aid funds to offer to students who qualify.

Programs included in ASSTI’s grant of accreditation include the following:
- Professional Swedish Massage Therapy – Diploma – Clock hours: 672.0
- Advanced Professional Massage Therapy Course – Diploma – Clock hours: 752.0
- Comprehensive Advanced Professional Massage Therapy – Diploma – Clock hours: 792.0

The school is located and all courses offered at Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics at 809 S. Harrison St., Alexandria. In addition to COMTA accreditation, the school is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), authorized by the Indiana Board for Proprietary Education, approved by the Indiana State Approving Agency (for those entitled to VA Educational Assistance Benefits), and approved by the U.S. Department of Education to make Federal Financial Aid available to those who qualify (www.fafsa.gov).
