Grasshopper Adventures Announce an Addition to Their Pioneering Tours Range with the New "Stunning Shikoku" Cycling Tour to Japan

Cycle the cultural heartland of Honshu and the island of Shikoku on Grasshopper Adventures’ New "Stunning Shikoku" 14-day tour.

Kyoto, Japan, July 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Grasshopper Adventures are excited to unveil the latest addition to their Pioneering Tours range with a 14-day cycling tour of central Honshu and the island of Shikoku. Experience the dichotomy that is Japan, with its traditional culture and heritage, existing in perfect harmony with the ultra modern country of the present day.

Starting in Kyoto, the tour route takes in the cultural sites of the city before heading into the countryside and the holy mountain of Koya San. From here it’s a boat journey across the Seto Inland Sea to the island of Shikoku, with its many temples, beautiful coastline and stunning landscapes. Returning to the mainland, by way of the amazing Shimanami Kaido, the 70km stretch of road and bridges that spans the Inland Sea between Imabari and Onomichi, the route ends in the city of Hiroshima.

As part of Grasshopper Adventures’ Pioneering Tour range, the ride is reasonably challenging and will appeal to keen cyclists with a good level of fitness. The terrain is excellent, with smooth roads throughout and a mix of gradients. Accommodation ranges from four star hotels to traditional ryokan inns.

Next departure: 16 April 2016
Cost: US$5,800 pp
