Las Vegas Damsel Earns Instructor Certification in Self-Defense

Las Vegas, NV, July 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Patti spent three days in Hawthorne, New York at the Women's Self Defense University where she completed an intense self-defense program and certified as a "Girls on Guard", "Guarding our Girls", and "Defense Against Weapons" instructor.

Statistics show that sexual assault in Las Vegas has increased dramatically from 40 per 1,000 in 2001 to 47 per 1,000 in 2013. And it is these staggering statistics that inspires Patti's desire to equip and empower women in surrounding areas with the tools and skills to protect themselves from assault.

"It's very heartbreaking when a female is assaulted," said Patti. "Having the right tools in a sticky situation is helpful but women also need to be taught how to defend themselves if those tools are not on hand."

She further added, "I am very passionate about this subject, and I'm doing all I can to educate and empower as many women as I can."
