Life After Loss - a Healing Retreat at Mercy Center Offers Respite and Renewal

Retreat at Mercy Center on the shores of Long Island Sound will inspire, encourage, and help those who have experienced loss move forward in their grief journey, and connect with others on a similar path. The day long retreat takes place Saturday, October 3, 9 a.m.to 5 p.m.

Madison, CT, August 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Seaside retreat will inspire, encourage, and help those who have experienced loss move forward in their grief journey, and connect with others on a similar path.

A variety of morning and afternoon workshops led by professional facilitators include such topics as “Closing One Door…Opening Another,” expressive writing for healing, intuitive collage, dream interpretation, a round table discussion about the grief process, a meditative labyrinth walk, Let Your Yoga Dance, Tai Chi, and unstructured time to enjoy the serene setting of Mercy by the Sea retreat center, located directly on Long Island Sound.

The program’s keynote speaker is Carol Scibelli, an award-winning humor writer and speaker, and author of the memoir, Poor Widow Me: Moments of feeling and dealing and finding the funny along the way.

“Life After Loss—A Healing Retreat” will be held Sat., Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5.p.m. at Mercy by the Sea, 167 Neck Rd., Madison, CT.

The cost of the retreat is $125 and includes continental breakfast and sit-down lunch.

Space is limited; registration is required by Sept. 15. $15 early bird discount will be given to those who register by Aug. 24. (Friends and family members are also welcome to register).
