Details: Philip Karter, a shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry will lead a seminar co-sponsored by the Southern Federal Tax Institute covering defenses and strategies of the IRS automated IDR-Summons sequence.

Entitled “Cutting the Abuse out of IDRs and Summonses: Every Conceivable Defense,” the seminar will discuss advice for tax representatives as they respond to Information Document Requests (IDRs) and summonses, which can be burdensome.

Karter specializes in tax controversy and tax litigation matters. Over the span of his 30-year career, Karter has litigated federal tax cases in the United States District Courts, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Federal Claims, and argued in the United States Court of Appeals in multiple circuits.
