Stockton, CA, September 15, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Savor&Stroke is a new paint and drink workshop where art classes are combined with beer, wine, or other beverages. The gallery is located on the Miracle Mile at the corner of Pacific St. and W. Maple St. and is an ideal location for those looking to hold birthday parties (including kids), girl’s night out, team building events, etc.
Savor&Stroke will offer two hour classes, held weekly during which customers can create their own unique painting to take home. “I am excited to provide a means of relaxation to the residents of Stockton. When I moved here I was told by everyone that there was nothing to do here. I wanted to use my experience and creativity to bring an old concept to a new place,” said JeKaren Taylor, owner and artist of Savor&Stroke. “Creativity is so important for the people of Stockton to develop in order to improve their community, to make Stockton a place worth living.”
Resident Natalie Seals is a supporter of the paint and wine workshops “Even someone like me who has no experience can learn new techniques from a workshop like this and have fun while doing it!”
The workshops will also introduce designs beyond just painting on canvas, and encompass a variety of craft projects. Classes can be individually registered for online, as well as reserved as a private party. Children’s instructional classes will also be provided on a monthly basis. Customers will not only be relaxed and entertained, but will pick up some basic skills. Anyone from novice to professional can be successful at painting with instruction from Savor&Stroke.
JeKaren Taylor, owner and artist, obtained her Art degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia with a focus on digital design. She has lived all over the world, teaching art and studying cultures abroad.
The Stockton Art League is a non-profit co-op for local artists who wish to share their talents with the community in a like-minded environment.
