StarOfService Continues Entering Eastern Europe, This Time Poland

French startup StarOfService, which recently received financing from a group of investors keeps entering new markets. After entering Russia and Finland in eastern Europe, the start-up opened up for Poland and continues its growth.

Szczecin, Poland, September 17, 2015 --( For those who don't know StarOfService, it's a marketing platform for services, which connects customers with local professionals such as DJ's for weddings, home cleaners, lawyers, photographers or plumbers and many more. Where the process of searching is simplified to just sending a request and a user waits for local professionals to respond with a quote.

While professionals gain an easy access to market themselves without sustaining any cost, only when an interesting and verified legit request appears they have a choice to respond to a potential customer. This model is slowly replacing a classic paid company catalogues.

At this point, a new Country Manager Piotr Szymanowski says:
"The polish market will be tough, we have strong competition, but we are already seeing increase in traffic, mainly because has different approach to a professional, we don't charge them the same way like our competition and reimburse their costs if a quote wasn't even read by the customer. While the local competition charges for example a plumber the same rate as a DJ. So when a plumber makes 30-50eur per job, a DJ makes like 500-1000EUR per job, but they pay same flat fee - which is definitely unfair giving that the average statistics say that 4-6 quotes land You a job."

StarOfService with its offer seems to continuously expand the markets regardless of the presence of the competition. In Poland, the market is already dominated by similar services, but another competitor with a more friendly approach to cheap services per request might stir the waters in this segment. Let's not forget, that last year StarOfService made more than 100,000,000 EUR for their professionals.
