Jim Manson Speaks at World Truama Symposium on Active Shooter Events

Jim Manson took the stage to speak to nearly 250 attendees at the World Trauma Symposium. His talk, titled “Survival in Active Shooter Events- It Takes a Village,” focused on the importance of the skills needed to prevent unnecessary deaths in an active shooter event.

Las Vegas, NV, October 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On a sunny September day in Las Vegas, Jim Manson took the stage to speak to nearly 250 attendees at the World Trauma Symposium. His talk, titled “Survival in Active Shooter Events- It Takes a Village,” focused on the importance of the skills needed to prevent unnecessary deaths in an active shooter event. Manson states that, “These simple medical skills, such as tourniquet placement, wound packing and opening a victim’s airway can greatly reduce the number of preventable deaths.”

The World Trauma Symposium has been offering networking opportunities to with the thought leaders in trauma care for four years, when they premiered, “to a sold-out audience of trauma care providers from across the nation and around the world” (worldtraumasymposium.com, 2015).

Manson’s efforts to bring Bleed Control training to the masses is a passion of his which lead him to a big decision in his life: Manson recently became the Vice-President of Strategic Development at Cascade Healthcare Services after several decades with the Denver Health Paramedic Division. His new role at Cascade will open more opportunities to deliver the skills and imperative training to the public needed to react competently in emergency situations. Manson declares, “These skills are easily learned and as important as public CPR/AED skills.”
