Harrisburg, PA, October 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- As everything around us seems to be turning pink, we are reminded it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Sadly, 37 women right here in PA will be diagnosed with breast cancer today, according to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. And Over 13,000 women in Pennsylvania are diagnosed each year with breast cancer. That’s why a local company is starting its own grassroots campaign.

On Oct. 1, AJ’s Truck & Trailer Center launched its campaign to help “Plow Away Cancer” benefiting the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC). AJ’s will donate a portion of every plow sale through the month of October to the PBCC. Customers have the option of matching the donation too. If you’re not in the market for a plow, but still want to help, donations can be made at AJ’s to help them reach their fundraising goals. As a family owned and operated business, it important to AJ’s to support local organizations like the PBCC who help people in need throughout Pennsylvania.

The mission of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition is to find a cure for breast cancer now so our daughters won’t have to. The PBCC represents, supports and serves breast cancer survivors and their families in Pennsylvania through educational programming, legislative advocacy and breast cancer research grants.

AJ’s Truck & Trailer Center is a certified dealership of Western and Fisher Snowplows. They also carry SnowEx Salt Spreaders, trailers and truck accessories. With winter around the corner, it’s time to start preparing. You want to get out there and inspect your equipment before the first snowfall. Hook up your plows and salt spreaders, and make sure everything works. They recommend flushing the system to ensure the hydraulic oil is still flowing. Sometimes condensation can get in the lines and freeze them up. Also, check the wires for damage. More than likely, your equipment was stored outside and critters or storm debris could have caused some damage. If you’re not confident to do this yourself, call AJ’s for your pre-season check-up. The last thing you, or your customers need is to get caught in an unexpected storm, unprepared.

If you have a plow business and want to grab people’s attention, then get a pink plow. In addition to AJ’s promotion, starting October 1st, Fisher Snowplows will make a monetary donation to the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition for every Pink FISHER XV2 V-plow or Pink FISHER Lift Arm sold. That’s a double donation towards fighting breast cancer!

So as you’re taking a break from your lawn work and drinking some coffee out of your pink PBCC mug, take a look at your old snow removal equipment. Then head over to AJ’s Truck & Trailer Center. Get that new plow you’ve been thinking about and help Plow Away Cancer! www.ajtnt.com
