LTG Charles Cleveland (Ret) to Chair Senior Special Operations Symposium in Alexandria, VA

Defense Strategies Institute is pleased to announce that LTG Charles Cleveland, USA (Ret) will chair the 2015 SOF Symposium taking place October 26-27th in Alexandria, VA. The event will feature senior Government leaders providing guidance to the Community on critical priorities.

Alexandria, VA, October 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Defense Strategies Institute is honored to announce that LTG Charles Cleveland, USA (Ret), will lead its 4th Annual SOF Symposium taking place October 26-27, 2015 in Alexandria, VA. This year's Symposium will feature Assistant Secretary of Defense Michael Lumpkin as the keynote speaker. ASD Lumpkin will discuss DoD priorities for special operations forces in the near and long term. The focus of the event will be "Applying Special Operations to Combat Global Security Challenges."

Lt Gen Thomas Trask, Vice Commander of United States Special Operations Command will also join this year's Symposium to elaborate on USSOCOM's strategic efforts to ensure US Special Operations Forces are prepared for critical US Security missions around the Globe. Particular emphasis will be on SOF efforts to Combat ISIL and other violent extremists groups.

DSI is also pleased to announce a senior panel led by Ioannis Koskinas and featuring AMB James F. Jeffrey. The panel will focus on current events including Russia's military activities in the Middle East and around the world, as well as an expanding China and Iran's expansion of sponsored terrorism.
