Jamati.com Announces the Start of an African Entertainment Renaissance

Washington, DC, December 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Since its launch in September 2007, Jamati.com has gained traction and a growing following dubbed as “The Jamati Entourage.” As the only entertainment portal of its kind, Jamati.com is serving up daily doses of entertainment news, celebrity gossip, reviews, interviews and more. Founded by Elias Mageto, (the majority shareholder of its parent company) Diaspora Interactive Media Corporation (DIM Corp), Jamati.com is changing the image of Africa with articles that focus on the African entertainment industry thru the use of up-to-the-minute technology that will keep its audience coming back for more and a format that can only be described as “edutainment.”

As the December edition hits cyberspace today, the comments are pouring in from a growing fan base, as well as, the profiled celebrities. Africa’s ‘everyman’ Nigerian born Model/ Actor Oris Erhuero graced the Jamati pages in an exclusive interview with Mwabi Kaira Murdock, who is the Editor in Chief of the Film and Style for Jamati Online. “The December issue like the previous month's has already drawn audiences from across the Diaspora which is exactly what the plan is,” commented, Roxana Bangura Events Director and Curator of the Jamati Entourage. Seeking to have a presence across the US and abroad is precisely why the “Jamati Life Campaign,” was designed. Through a series of well crafted promotions and co-branding opportunities with venues and relevant events, “The Jamati Life Campaign will take the brand off-line and will support our overall image and message. We are recruiting energetic staff and readers to function as brand ambassadors as they will add value to our events and those of our promotional partners. So, as the passion for Jamati grows, you never know where you will find members of our Entourage” said Saba K. Washington, VP of Marketing/PR/Sales for Jamati Online.

Shirlene Alusa Brown, Co-Editor in Chief at Jamati, focuses on music and books.
