Thundering Oak Enterprises Donates Tree Services to Benefit International Society of Arboriculture

Seattle, WA, December 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Last Friday Thundering Oak Enterprises of Auburn donated its tree pruning services to underserviced areas of the City of Seattle. According to Thundering Oak owner and ISA member Bryce Landrud, Seattle applies for a grant each year to get the tree pruning done in neighborhoods it can’t get to. Rather than pay individual contractors to do the work, local tree service contractors like Landrud donate their services in exchange for the City’s $15,000 donation to ISA, an international organization that promotes and supports tree research, technology and education.

This is the third year in a row that Thundering Oak has participated in the event, along with other local contractors. Landrud estimates that his team pruned 40 to 50 trees on Friday.

“We believe in not only supporting our community but in furthering tree research for our profession through ISA,” Landrud said. “We enjoy participating every year.”
