Helsinki, Finland, September 14, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Disruptive Media Ltd. releases a new and innovative web service, PiXnPaLs.com. PiXnPaLs offers its users a way to store photos and other memories from events and happenings, such as parties, trips, celebrations, etc., in a common shared place. It's a social network of people connected by events. After a wedding, one of the guests can create a new chapter for the event, add photos and invite other guests to it. These newly invited persons can add their photos as well and invite others too. This way one can make sure all photos are in the same place. When a user has many chapters for many events, all these chapters together form a story, i.e. "The Story of Your Life". Looking back at your story with friends a few years later can be really fun, especially when you have a collection of many photos from several different parties taken by a lot of different people.
Users also have an option to publish their story on their public profile. They can select the best photos from a large collection of photos taken by many people. So in a way, you can share photos and show people who you are and what you do even if you do not own a camera or have taken any photos at all.
Disruptive Media Ltd., the company behind PiXnPaLs, was founded by Frans Ekman and Jarl Törnroos, August 13, 2007. Frans Ekman has a background from the mobile game industry. Jarl Törnroos has a background in electric engineering but has developed and maintained a private photosharing website for several years. In spring 2007, Frans and Jarl decided to start working on a new web service, which became PiXnPaLs.
