"Going Green" with Promotional Products Helps Marketers Focused on CSR

Washington, DC, December 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Thanks to effective marketing, “going Green,” or purchasing products that reduce the impact we have on the environment, has been the buzz for the last few years. In much of the business world, it’s become a corporate social responsibility. To assist companies in their focus on sustainability, On Sale Promos introduces 50 eco-friendly promotional products and corporate gifts to its product line.

Green, or eco-friendly products, are those made from recycled, organic and/or Fair Trade materials. On Sale Promos Green promotional products include: clothing made from organic cotton; bags and totes produced from recycled fabric or leather; pencils manufactured with recycled currency; gifts made from seed paper that can be planted after use; and, Fair Trade foods.

“Companies that support a mission to restrict the resources we take from the land, as well as the pollution we put into it, need eco-friendly products. It is responsible business that turns a profit,” says Tom McDougall, sales account manager, On Sale Promos. “We have found a niche in finding those vendors who make green products and matching them with the right customers.”

On Sale Promos client The JBG Companies, a Washington, D.C.-based real estate development firm, was one of the first to purchase Green products from the company. “In order to maintain continuity with sustainable building materials and architectural plans, concern for the environment needs to infiltrate all aspects of our business, including marketing,” says Matthew Blocher, Senior Vice President JBG.
