Jeanne M. Schuster, Executive Director, Ernst & Young, LLP to Speak at the Knowledge Congress’ Event on Form 990 Overhaul on January 23, 2008
The Knowledge Congress, the leading producer of regulatory focused teleconferences has announced today that Jeanne M. Schuster, Executive Director of Ernst & Young, LLP will speak at the Knowledge Congress’ upcoming teleconference entitled: “Form 990 Overhaul.” This 2-hour event is scheduled for January 23, 2008, Wednesday, at 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST.
Recently, the Internal Revenue Service has released a discussion as per to the proposed overhaul of the Form 990 or the main tax form for certain tax-exempt organizations. This action done by the IRS is to make things easier for the agency itself and for the public to track and scrutinize the finances, governance and accomplishments of the certain tax-exempt organizations.
The Knowledge Congress is assembling a panel of distinguished experts to help make this proposed revision for the Form 990 clear to the organizations most impacted. The panel will present their findings, which will include best practices in a two-hour teleconference.
About Ms. Jeanne M. Schuster
Jeanne M. Schuster is an executive director at Ernst & Young, LLP, concentrating in tax-exempt organizations. Her experience with tax-exempt organizations includes representation during IRS and state audits, including IRS CEP examinations, mergers and reorganizations of exempt and taxable corporations, applications for exempt status, unrelated business income tax, employment tax, information reporting and sales tax issues. Ms. Schuster received her B.A. degree in accounting from Bentley College, her J.D. degree from the New England School of Law and her LL.M. degree from Boston University School of Law. She also teaches a course in tax-exempt organizations at Suffolk University as part of their adjunct faculty.
