)-- FieldTurf is proud to introduce Revolution 360, its latest monofilament fiber. Building on the success of its Revolution fiber introduced in 2011, FieldTurf is once again setting the bar with Revolution 360. No development program has ever subjected a fiber to more vigorous requirements. Revolution 360 is the fiber that delivers complete performance.
Confirming its completeness, Revolution 360 achieved a score of 83 on the Fiber Performance Index (FPI). Recently introduced to the marketplace by Labosport as part of the latest addition to its Certification Program, FPI establishes the ultimate fiber ‘index’ – the rating of an artificial turf fiber, to help prospective turf buyers understand and weigh the individual qualities of a turf fiber.
Revolution 360 performed strongly on all four tests required by the FPI, scoring 84 on the Tear test, measuring a fiber’s cross tenacity; 84 on the Recovery test, measuring fiber resilience after compression; 90 on the UV test, measuring a fiber’s resistance to UV exposure; and 62 on the Feel test, measuring a fiber’s softness.
“We are very excited to introduce Revolution 360 to the market. We’ve been working on the 'next generation' since we launched Revolution in 2011. We believe that Revolution 360 is the first fiber since Revolution to push boundaries and change the game,” said Eric Daliere, President of FieldTurf. In fact, in a Fiber Wear test conducted by Penn State’s Center for Sports Surface Research, Revolution 360 showed no signs of wear after 150,000 Lisport cycles; an unprecedented score achieved by no other fiber on the market.
Revolution 360, as with all FieldTurf fibers, is produced at FieldTurf’s very own facility in Germany. This state-of-the art facility was opened in 2010 and, as a result, has turned FieldTurf into one of the most vertically integrated companies in the world. The quality control process at the facility ensures stringent testing of yarn properties.
Named after the concept of completeness, Revolution 360 is an improved version of the market-leading Revolution fiber, installed at hundreds of installations across North America, including Gillette Stadium (home of the NFL’s New England Patriots and MLS’s New England Revolution), CenturyLink Field (home of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks & MLS’s Seattle Sounders) and Providence Park (home of the MLS’s Portland Timbers). Revolution 360 maintains the high performing UV and Softness properties of its predecessor, while significantly improving its durability and resilience.
