Omni International Expands Bead Mill Consumable Line Introduces Microbial DNA Free Certified Pre-Filled Bead Tubes

Kennesaw, GA, December 01, 2015 --( Omni International Inc., the US based homogenizer equipment and lysing chemistry manufacturer, today reinforced its leadership in the bead mill homogenizer market with the launch of a new Microbial DNA Free certification process to improve the quality of the Omni bead mill consumable line. Building on Omni’s already robust quality standards for bead mill consumables, the Microbial DNA Free certification process ensures that select pre-filled bead tubes are free of both bacterial and fungal DNA. Bead mill consumables labeled as microbial DNA free are molecular biology grade and pass through a rigorous PCR based assay. Microbial DNA free pre-filled bead tubes are also certified as nuclease free.

As the only manufacturer of microbial DNA free and nuclease free bead mill consumables, Omni International is uniquely positioned to deliver bead mill technologies to researchers working on applications that are sensitive to the presence of bacterial and fungal DNA. Researchers are already capitalizing on the unique ability of the Omni Bead Ruptor Homogenizer line to provide rapid sample dissociation for the extraction of nucleic acids. Now, with the option to process in pre-filled bead tubes certified free of microbial DNA, studies targeting detection of bacteria and fungi can greatly reduce their chances of false positives.
