The Holiday Pier Lighting in Manhattan Beach Goes Green

The City of Manhattan Beach uses offsets from 3 Phases Renewables to make their holiday lighting "green."

Manhattan Beach, CA, December 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- This year Manhattan Beach’s holiday Pier Lighting will be greener thanks to 3 Phases Renewables (3PR), a local provider of renewable energy options.

3PR is providing 7,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy to offset the energy used by the holiday lights used to decorate the pier in Manhattan Beach. This donation will prevent 14,686 lbs of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to planting 6 acres of trees.

"We hope to inspire the residents and businesses of Manhattan Beach to help us build a sustainable future,” said Hans Isern, marketing manager for 3 Phases Renewables.

This year’s Pier Lighting takes place on Saturday, December 1st, from 4:30-6:30pm at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
