Glendale, CA, December 16, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Carry The Future has developed a grassroots campaign with the help of viral social media in an attempt to not only improve the lives of those in need, but to create a better way for anyone with desire to make a difference through their own personal actions. Carry The Future is what Founder, Cristal Logothetis has coined a "Me2You" grassroots organization. Rather than investing precious resources on a year-round staff, marketing, etc, the organization is almost entirely volunteer run and operates on a campaign-by-campaign basis, thus ensuring that virtually all the money donated reaches the person in need. The Me2You system is a very effective one, and Carry the Future plans to lead this grassroots movement in hopes of revolutionizing the structure of big charities around the world.
“I see Carry the Future as a launching pad for something so much bigger than just baby carriers for refugees. I see it as a grassroots movement that is paving the way for Me2You campaigns, micro-solidarity organizations and peer to peer non-profit work. We live in a time where social media can facilitate the mobilization of millions of people that are out there, compelled to act but unable to do so because they have no way to do so unless they doctors or EMTs." said Cristal Logothetis, Founder of Carry the Future.
Distribution has thus far been carried out in two phases, each by a team of 10 volunteers who have traveled to Greece. Phase 1 was completed November 9, 2015, and Phase 2 completed on December 1, 2015. Carry the Future is currently coordinating distribution trips in 2016 for Phase 3, and for Phase 4, with locations throughout Europe and the Middle East being examined. As of November 27th, 2015, Carry the Future has personally distributed approximately 6,770 wearable baby carriers and hundreds of relief kits filled with essential survival items, with each baby carrier costing $4.61 to hand deliver to a refugee. Carry the Future is in the final stages of obtaining 501(c)3 status and has over 4,000 volunteers.
Carry the Future is an organization that on a global level has volunteers personally distributing donated baby carriers and essential survival items to refugee mothers and fathers as they are fleeing violence, oppression and persecution. Carry the Future began in September 2015, with a mom who had humble expectations of raising funds to provide wearable baby carriers to refugees that were in great need. Within days, Carry the Future’s campaign went viral. What started as a simple movement has transformed into a far reaching non-profit organization.
