While welcoming the dignitaries, Shreesh Chandra, Director of Content Creation & Acquisition for Legal, Tax and Academic verticals at LexisNexis India, said, “This novel book authored by Dr. Justice B S Chauhan is a professional reference, dealing with day to day legal issues handled by the Courts. Containing ratios of judgments given by the Supreme Court, the book deals in particular with the Code of Civil Procedure, the Constitution of India, the Law of Limitation, Contempt of Court, Land Acquisition, Motor Vehicles Act and Labour and Service Jurisprudence. We, at LexisNexis, are certain that the book will find a ready audience in lawyers looking for references on a particular issue or on facts of a particular case, and researchers tracing how the law has developed. We are grateful to Dr. Justice BS Chauhan for having distilled his knowledge and experience gained through his years at the Bar and Bench in conceptualizing and creating the Law Referencer, which we believe will be an indispensable practical tool for every lawyer.”

Chief Justice of India TS Thakur observed that the book launch was a very well attended event and complimented the author and the publisher for the same. Justice Thakur said, “While the present generation is more inclined towards reading content online, books provide a greater opportunity to explore, read and learn several other new and interesting topics that one may not be actively searching for, thereby improving and elating one’s knowledge further.”

During the event, Hon’ble Justice AR Dave said, “The book should be renamed as Marvelous Law Referencer. It's a wonderful digest. The book is a great asset for everyone.” Adding on to that, Hon’ble Justice Dipak Misra said, “The present book is a commitment of Justice Chauhan to teach us as we are all students, even I'm a student of law. The book, in itself, compels us to read it and refer it. He is an articulate teacher.”

On the occasion, Hon’ble Justice G Rohini said, “I am really fortunate and happy to be a part of the book launch and receive the first copy of the book from J. Chauhan himself. The book covers 569 topics. Case law in the book is presented and arranged systematically. Legal fraternity is indebted to Justice Chauhan for writing such a book.” Praising Dr. Justice B S Chauhan, Shri PP Rao added, “Justice Chauhan has a good knowledge of law and has imparted the same in his book. The book would be very helpful for assisting the bench and students. Today, on this occasion, we are the participants in development of law. I hope that the author keeps on updating the book and come out with a new edition regularly.”

Overwhelmed with the compliments of the dignitaries present, Dr. Justice B S Chauhan said, “Books would always be primary to the Internet. I started maintaining a diary with case law since the start of my career and referred to it while writing judgments. This book of mine is for people to take assistance while dealing with any point of law.”
