Vancouver, BC, Canada, February 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In honour of eating disorder awareness week, February 1-7, 2016, Chelsey Luren Portraits is proud to be providing Recovery Sessions throughout the month of February to all eating disorder survivors.
National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, initially started by the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC), aims “To reduce the prevalence of anorexia, bulimia, binging eating and other disordered eating through a public awareness campaign that educates, informs and engages Canadians to talk about eating disorders.” Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness, and Eating disorder week looks to eliminate the shame and stigma of the disease so sufferers may confidently seek treatment.
Valued at $250, Chelsey Luren Portraits offers complimentary boudoir photo sessions to those in recovery. Sessions include a One-hour shoot with Principal Photographer Chelsey Luren Dixon, professional hair and makeup, and 40 edited photos for ladies to choose from for purchase. These shoots are aimed at creating a comfortable environment for women to experience their true beauty and confidence, and reconnect with their bodies.
“Any opportunity we have to help lower the stigma that surrounds eating disorders and help to aid in one's recovery is one that we are truly honoured to be a part of,” says Chelsey, “Though I am a photographer, in reality my real job is making every woman I work with feel sensational.
