Emerald Brand Donates to American Heart Association Go Red for Women Event

Syosset, NY, February 14, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Emerald Brand recently participated in the American Heart Association’s 2016 Go Red for Women luncheon event at the Crest Hollow Country Club to benefit cardiovascular diseases.

To support the cause, Emerald donated a gift basket filled with its earth-friendly cleaning products and Tree-Free™, BPA free, and chlorine free disposables. The company also gave away 1,200 Tree-FreeTM pocket tissue packs that were placed in each attendees "swag bag."

“We are happy to participate in an event centered on well-being because our mission of sustainable and toxic-free product manufacturing is so closely tied to health and wellness,” stated Emerald Brand Managing Director, Jaclyn McDuffey. “Our goal is not only to save the environment, but also to improve the overall health of the community.”

Luncheon attendees learned about the risks and warning signs of heart diseases and strokes. Cardiovascular diseases cause one in three women’s deaths each year, killing approximately one woman every minute. The American Heart Association Go Red for Women events help raise public awareness about cardiovascular disease and the risk factors, particularly as they apply to women.
