Marlin & Sons New Active Belts Kickstarter Campaign

Innovative silicone stretch leather Active Belts, Active Packs and Active Bands debuting on Kickstarter crowd funding site.

Taichung, Taiwan, February 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- View From Brooklyn (viewfb.com) launched Active Belts the “most comfortable and functional belt:stylish, ergonomic and light. The belt is made out of proprietary AirSil performance silicone foam “stretch leather” a material which is lighter than silicone (by up to 50%), stretchier and softer. Like conventional silicone it is very grippy/non-slip, doesn’t retain heat-so wears cooler, and doesn’t absorb odor and is easy cleaning.

“We are thrilled to offer our Active Belts, packs and bands to everyone via Kickstarter http://kck.st/1PIaR9f launch,” said Mark Forman-designer and launcher of campaign. They truly offer ergonomic comfort and function not available from leather belts and offer much more leather look and feel than elastic stretch belts with greater stretch but greater rebound as well. They don’t go limp.

Active Belts (available in 1″ and 1-1/4″ widths and variety of colors and textures) allow people to use them as a virtual storage pack/bag by allowing the placement and removal of light clothing items, gloves, towel, small gear, etc. due to their stretch and grip performance. Their snap rivet modular hardware system allow for easy replacement of a variety of D-ring options with different materials and finishes. The belts offered on Kickstarter weigh in at 1.5 oz and under-so very lightweight but durable!

Active Packs are for the person that needs a more conventional bag pack option. These waist or shoulder pack offerings are not your Granny’s fanny pack, but form-fitting small pouches that attach to the stretch leather belt and expand to 6x their size via the waterproof 4 way stretch Lycra material. The packs are available in high visibility colors making them an ideal choice for exercise or outdoor activities and come with 3M reflectors and earbud hole to allow use with smart phones, etc.

The stretch leather material was developed for them as vibration damping/comfort bar tape for road bike handlebars. This is the first application as a wearable and AirSil stretch shoe laces will be available in the near future.
