Ann Arbor, MI, February 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- During March 2016, Carlyle Grill celebrates ten years as a staple in the Ann Arbor / Dexter communities. Carlyle Grill is proud to be a part of the original neighborhood scene since 2006.

In honor of the tenth anniversary, Carlyle Grill (carlylegrill.com) has geared its menu towards sourcing locally by utilizing Michigan products from fruits and vegetables, to dairy, beef, poultry and seafood. Carlyle Grill in known as the neighborhood grill and wants customers to know of the commitment to Michigan Environment and Economy.

To fully enhance the use of the Michigan products, Carlyle Grill takes a fresh approach to cooking by buying less, more frequently and receiving daily deliveries of the highest quality food. Every day starting at 8 am the trucks arrive and the kitchen preps the freshly delivered food for that day’s meals using the ‘scratch kitchen’ concept.

Local entrepreneur John Romanis is the founder who created the concept to provide a casual dining atmosphere, as well as a local drinking and eating establishment for all sports fans in the western Ann Arbor / Dexter communities.

At the age of 18, John came to the esteemed university town of Ann Arbor to pursue higher education. Parallel to his studies, he worked in the hospitality business. In this industry he started at the very beginning, working long hours – sometimes seven days of the week. This training allowed him to learn and gain the skills he would need to eventually run his own restaurants.

“After three years of contemplation,” John says, “I selected this outlot in front of the Quality 16 Theatre because I saw the future developing in this area west of Ann Arbor. Today, we’re proud of our position in the community and proud of the methods we use in our kitchen. Being a fresh from scratch kitchen means we sometimes run out of food, after all, there are only so many fish in the lake, and although we apologize for not having the guest’s initial desire, we don’t serve and, therefore, don’t need to apologize for serving stale tasteless food. Food is too important in life to screw it up. Ten years prior to opening Carlyle Grill I opened Mediterrano near Briarwood. At that time we took a new approach to Mediterranean food offering by providing small plates and the flavors from all 21 Mediterranean countries, not just the usual three: Spain, Greece, and Italy. I like variety.”

Mediterrano (mediterrano.com), Carlyle Grill’s sister establishment, celebrated it’s 20th anniversary in 2015. Caryle Grill will have a 10th Anniversary party for its employees, patrons and guests on March 22, 2016.
