Impact Branding's CEO Writes and Publishes Her New Book as a Global Fundraiser for Children
According to the Brain Research Institute study, statistics revealed 75% of crimes are committed by high school drop outs. The national drop rate is 8.1% and in Jamaica the dropout rate in 2000 was topping at 6.1%. The male gender accounts for 9.1% of drop outs and the female gender accounts for 7.0% of the drop outs (SBRI, 2015). In 2007, the CDC reported that homicide was one of the five leading causes of death among adolescents and children (CDC, 2010).
Natasha, CEO of Impact Branding, Inc partnered with the non-profit 501C3, Lynne Mitchell Foundation to support and expand their breakfast & education programs. The book release and fundraiser event will be held at Soul Asylum Studios 1676 Defoor Circle NW, Atlanta Georgia 30318 (www.BeUnleashed2016.Eventbrite.com).
The Lynne Mitchell Foundation (www.LynneMitchellFoundation.org) was founded in 2012 by Marlene Gordon the general counsel for Bacardi. The organization was founded to be a direct solution for underprivileged children in the Caribbean. As natives and descendants of Jamaica, West Indies, both Marlene and Natasha understand the value of quality education and quality life. They also know the detriments resulting from a lack of quality education and quality of life. Both of these Visionary's have joined forces to make a global impact that will last for generations.
Natasha has written and published her 2nd book to be a fundraiser for this cause. She has created an entire project & movement around the book..."#BeUnleashed." The Be Unleashed Project strategically exists to raise money to ensure the LMFI organization has the ability to provide the 50 plus students of Seaview Primary School in Jamaica, West Indies with a hot cooked breakfast, lunch and nutritious snacks during school. These students are children of farmer parents and day laborers.
Over the past few years, a deeper level of poverty has afflicted this community because of the extreme drought conditions. Adequate farming has declined with the withering of crops and death of livestock. The drought contributes to tens of thousands of dollars lost. Families are forced to either send their children to bed hungry or to school hungry. Natasha wants to end this choice for these parents and life of hunger for these children.
The Be Unleashed Project (www.BeUnleashedProject.Blogspot.com) is a global movement to support and protect the viability of our young generation and our future. Marlene believes it is our social responsibility to take care of our young generation not only here in the U.S but also abroad, this is why she founded the foundation. She says "Don't just say you love, Show you love." Chief Visionary and Author Natasha speaks passionately when she says, "We have to make sure these children know having access to the basics such as food is available. These children will one day be our children's children attorney, doctor, nurse and teacher."
