Cape Harbour Revs Up for the 10th Water & Wheels Festival

Fathoms and The French Press again step up to present the popular event.

Fort Myers, FL, March 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Fathoms Restaurant & Bar and The French Press are pleased to present the 10th Annual Water & Wheels festival, a popular three-day spring weekend event featuring car and boat shows, art, entertainment, food, drink and fun for all ages, from March 11- March 13.

When Fathoms Restaurant & Bar and The French Press set up shop in late 2014, they were determined to expand and enhance the vibrant lineup of happenings at Cape Harbour Marina. Just prior, Realmark Development, which had created and sponsored some of the more important events at the luxury yachting community and waterfront shopping destination, stepped back from its hands-on involvement. As a result, the future of major events, including Water & Wheels, was uncertain.

To keep it from being canceled, Business partners Timothy and Meredith Hoffman and Chef Benjamin and Valeria Voisin stepped up to sponsor the 9th Water & Wheels Festival in 2015. Not only has a beloved tradition been saved, but this year promises to be the biggest year yet for the event, presented in association with Westrec Marinas and Cape Harbour Marina.

The festivities and the boat show start at noon on Friday, March 11. From 6 – 10 p.m., dance under the stars to rock and roll from the 50s through today by popular local band Lemongrass. Boats – and a boatload of local art – will again be on display all day Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., when NL2 Trio takes to the stage to keep the party going. The boat show returns from 9 a.m. – noon on Sunday, March 13, with the car show being held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Roger Young of Cinder and Soapy Tuna fame then plays until 6 p.m.

Don't miss the fun and the chance to see and hear the famous Michigander Top Fuel Nitro Dragster.
