Lumberton Confectionery Launches Signature Red Velvet Cupcakes

Cupcakes Meet Candies

Lumberton, NC, March 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Sweet Candy Café will launch their signature light and fluffy red velvet cupcakes in Historic Downtown Lumberton located at 212 North Chestnut Street from 9am to 4pm. Proceeds from the inaugural cupcake launch will go toward the 2nd Annual Timothy R. Long Memorial Scholarship Fund, to be awarded on August 17, 2016 at Christ the King Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey.

Felicia Evans Long, founder of Sweet Candy Café always knew she and her husband wanted to add baked goods to their confectionery menu. Evans Long’s husband Tim Long, co-founder of Sweet Candy Café and Newark, New Jersey native, passed away suddenly on August 17, 2014. He worked for George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., formerly worked at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York in the Operating Room and actively participated in mission assignments in Guatemala and Guyana.
