The Quail & Olive Hosts 2nd Annual Carmel Valley Olive Growers Fest; California Olive Growers Celebrate 2016 Olive Oil Release

Carmel Valley, CA, March 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Quail and Olive announced the 2nd Annual Carmel Valley Olive Growers Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at The Quail & Olive, 3 Pilot Road in Carmel Valley, CA. The festival is free and gives visitors the chance to meet local olive growers.

The 2nd Annual Carmel Valley Olive Growers Festival gives olive oil aficionados the opportunity to taste the 2015 harvest from local California olive growers. Chef John Pisto, host of Monterey's Cooking and owner of The Whaling Station will judge the Small Bites contest.

The seminar schedule for the 2nd Annual Carmel Valley Olive Growers Festival is as follows:

1:00 p.m. Controversy of Imported Oils seminar from California Olive Oil Council (COOC)

2:00 p.m. Health Benefits of Mediterranean Diet seminar with Dr. Stephen Brabeck, proprietor of The Quail & Olive and local cardiologist

3:00 p.m. Meet the Olive Oil Growers with Dean Griggs grower and producer of Tres Osos EVOO in Carmel Valley.

Chapparal Gardens will be on hand to present tastings of their award-winning fruit and balsamic vinegars. Visitors will also sample gourmet salts from Robert Kirklands Monterey Bay Salt Co., as well as taste olive jams and tapenades by Chef Andre Averseng from Paso Terra Restaurant.
