Italian Start-Up WISE Town on Its Way to Become Successful Smart City Project

Perugia, Italy, March 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- TeamDev’s new start-up – WISE (Web Information Stream Enhancer) Town is a smart city project financed by Finodex and co-financed by the EU (selected from more than 200 projects). The idea was born to simplify public administrations’ work by interacting the citizens into the urban development management using their smart devices, social networks etc.

Smart City uses new technologies and innovations to improve the quality of life, make easier the use of public services, create economic value and decrease environmental impact.

WISE Town is a software of Smart Governance concept using Internet of Things to collect data from the specific location installed inside the city, support to implement civil duties and interact with the specific places (theaters, museums, monuments etc.).

The software is based on Open Data system and the information gained from the sources are freely available for the individuals and developers working on the project. Also, the API (application program interface) offered by WISE Town, allows the developers to interact with other applications.

The Geo-located alerts made by the citizens with the help of the WISE Town application will be redirected to the appropriate authorities. After receiving information, it would be a more operative way to resolve the problems concerning urban mobility, waste management, public security, urban green spaces, environmental monitoring etc.

Machine Learning unites collected data and categorizes it in its fastest possible way. Operative mode and usefulness for the political entities are the main advantages of this software.

Apart from the operative tools that are used for reacting on the alerts and analyzing informational flows, WISE Town uses a synthetic dashboard to make the system user-friendly for the local politics.
