Live Streaming Platform BCAST to Split Company with Creation of the BCAST Public Sector Group

Reston, VA, March 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Reston, Virginia based BCAST, a social media live streaming broadcasting platform set to transform how individuals access events, news and activities, today announced today that it will be breaking into two parts with the creation of the BCAST Public Sector Group.

The purpose of the move is to position BCAST more competitively for state, local and federal programs that have recently emerged that wish to take advantage of next generation mobile live streaming and to provide a more appropriate cloud computing environment for the debut this Spring of BCAST’s mobile Safety Feature.

Mike Hodge –CEO of BCAST explains: “In an effort to enhance our competitive standing relative to a number of public safety initiatives under way, we will be creating a BCAST Public Sector Group within our company. Practically what this means is that we will be bifurcating and replicating our live streaming infrastructure in an industrial grade, highly secure and scalable cloud computing environment that would be separate and distinct from our consumer division and would comply with any/all needed security aspects for state, local and/or federal programs. We are evaluating a number of cloud alternatives now. This is in preparation for participation in a number of state, local and federal programs we anticipate being involved with soon in addition to the launch this spring of the BCAST “Safe-Stream” personal safety feature.
