Award Winning Young Author Hosts Vegan Cookbook Signing with Dessert Samples

Westport, CT, January 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- On January 5 from 2pm to 4pm, Hannah Kaminsky, author of the new cookbook My Sweet Vegan, will host a book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Westport, Connecticut. The informal meet and greet will include dessert samples of recipes from My Sweet Vegan. Store visitors are welcomed to view the cookbook, speak with the author, and trial a dessert sampling as they shop.

Published in December 2007, My Sweet Vegan contains nearly 80 recipes each accompanied by a full color photo. The collection includes Sweet Starts, Cookies & Bars, Cakes & Cupcakes, Pies & Tarts, and Miscellaneous Morsels.

Prepared without dairy or eggs, the recipes are suitable for a range of diets, including vegan, dairy-free for lactose intolerance or milk allergies, and cholesterol-free. A food allergy index in the back of the book addresses multiple food allergies. Nonetheless, each recipe was taste tested and approved by both vegans and non-vegans alike. The author focused on originality and quality by developing each recipe from scratch rather than simply “veganizing” non-vegan recipes.

A kitchen and artistic prodigy, the author, Hannah Kaminsky, is just eighteen years of age, and currently in her first year of university. She is both the author and sole photographer for My Sweet Vegan. Surprisingly, her work shows little evidence of her youth. Recipes within My Sweet Vegan span the generations, ranging from kid-friendly Whoopie Pies to a brilliant Green Tea Tiramisu for more mature taste buds.
