)-- The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Land Use Attorney Austin Turner was among panelists from the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”) Young Leaders Group discussing a “Day in the Life” to real estate students at the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University on March 15.
Turner, along with Kristine Smale (John Burns Real Estate Consulting), Tina Ekblad (Morris-Depew Associates), Jan-Erik Hustrulid (Owen-Ames-Kimball Company), Nelson Taylor (Hanson Real Estate Advisors), Kevin Mixon (GFA International), and Josh Philpott (Stantec), shared with students their unique insights on a number of diverse career paths within the real estate sector. Students were also given an opportunity to network with each of the panelists at the event.
Turner concentrates his practice in the areas of land use and environmental law. He counsels clients on land use entitlements, such as comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, DRIs, variances, and other matters which commonly arise for property owners. Turner advocates on behalf of clients before agencies including the Department of Economic Opportunity, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
