Virginia Mediators to Host Regional Continuing Education Program

Richmond, VA, March 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Virginia Mediation Network is conducting a series of regional educational programs throughout Virginia during the month of March. Brenda Waugh, an attorney/mediator and member of the Board of Directors of VMN has worked with local experts to create a program eligible for two continuing education credits addressing some ethical issues raised when mediation involves children.

Experts presenting on the panel include Jim Pope, Esq., who will be addressing issues raised when a mediator suspects child abuse or neglect in mediation, Andrea Palmisano, M.A., who will present the ethical considerations of including children in mediation, and James McCauley, Esq., reviewing questions regarding the unauthorized practice of law and calculating child support during mediation. The video portion of the session is facilitated by VMN Board Member Izabela Solosi. Onsite discussions will be facilitated by VMN members. The cost for VMN members is $25.00 and includes online materials.
