DJ Demps Community Initiative, "DJ Demp Gives Back" brings community awareness to organizations and charities supported during DJ Demps’ annual birthday celebration. Demp Week 2k8 "Demp Week Reloaded” will be taking place January 7-13, 2008.

Most people like to receive on their birthdays, but local disc jockey, DJ Demp (Trick, David Banner, Juvenile-Tour DJ & Crunk Energy drink Ambassador & Crunk Clothing CEO), plans to use the whole week of his birthday to give back. DJ Demp will be launching “DJ Demp Gives Back” a community initiative to bring community awareness to organizations and charities supported through his event, “Demp Week Reloaded.”

Second Harvest of the Big Bend will benefit from three of his high profile events, “There’s a great need for goods, especially after the Winter Holidays, with these events we plan to replenish the Food Bank,” said DJ Demp. Canned donations will be accepted at “Can War” to benefit Second Harvest of the Big Bend. “Can War” is a friendly competition waged between FAMU and FSU to donate the most canned goods. FSU will collect canned goods on Wednesday January 9, FAMU will collect canned goods on Friday January 11; Students who bring canned goods will receive a raffle ticket and be eligible for ticket drawings for a chance to win prizes. Surprise celebrity guests will be in attendance during “Campus Invasion,” to shake things up. Canned Goods will also be accepted before the Celebrity Basketball Game on Thursday January 10, attendees will also get a chance to win prizes.

A special version of “Campus Invasion” will take place at R. Frank Nims Middle School, which includes a motivational assembly and pep rally, featuring DJ Demps’ celebrity friends.
